Weihnachtsgrußwort an unsere Partnerstädte in Europa
Liebe Freunde in Europa,
dieses Jahr hat uns alle in Atem gehalten, vor allem Corona, das sich einmal mehr in all unsere gemeinsamen Pläne drängte und gegenseitige Besuche leider allzu oft verwehrte. Aber nicht immer und das ist ein hoffnungsvoller Ausblick. Endlich einmal konnte eine Ratzeburger Delegation wieder unsere dänische Partnerstadt Ribe besuchen und dort gemeinsam die Feierlichkeiten zu „100 Jahre Deutsch-Dänische Grenzverträge“ genießen, die bereits für 2020 vorgesehen war, aber erst in diesem Jahr umsetzbar wurden. Das war eine große Freude für alle Beteiligten. Das Wiedersehen von lieben Freunden, die gastfreundliche Aufnahme, das tolle Programm. Vielen Dank dafür. Und einen ebenso großes Dank in unsere polnische Partnerstadt Sopot, für die wundervolle Aufnahme von 15 Ratzeburger Jugendlichen, die im Rahmen eines Europaprogramms für ein verlängertes Wochenende im Herbst tatsächlich zu Euch fahren durften. Sie waren voller Begeisterung über das Erlebte, den Austausch mit den polnischen und dänischen Jugendlichen zur Zukunft Europas, die gemeinsamen Besichtigungen und das unbeschwerte Kennenlernen. Uns wurde hier von einem ausgelassenen Bowlingabend berichtet, der unsere Jugendliche eine fast vergessene Normalität erleben ließ. Einfach einmal nur mit Gleichaltrigen zusammen sein, Spaß haben und gar nicht an Corona denken. Das habt ihr ganz großartig organisiert, wie ihr das immer tut und dabei unserer Jugendlichen nachhaltig beeindruckt. Besonders erfreulich dabei sind die neuen Kontakte, die sich ergeben haben zwischen unseren Schulen. Wir können uns in Ratzeburg wohl bald wieder auf Schüler aus Sopot freuen. Das wäre ein Traum.
Und Ihr in Frankreich und Belgien, Châtillon-sur-Seine, in Esneux und Walcourt. Wir vermissen Euch sehr. So sehr, dass unser Jugendbeirat in Ratzeburg fest entschlossen ist, Euch nächstes Jahr im Rahmen einer Rundtour zu besuchen. Sie haben die Idee für ein jugendpolitisches Europacamp in Ratzeburg im Gepäck und wollen dafür bei Euch werben und anklopfen. Vor allem aber sind sie so neugierig auf Begegnungen. Macht Euch gefasst auf Ratzeburgs junge Botschafter. Unser deutsche Partnerstadt Schönberg kennt sie schon. Sie mischen dort tatkräftig beim Aufbau eines Jugendbeirates mit.
Aus Schweden haben viel zu lange nichts mehr gehört. Liebe Grüße an Strängnäs. Meldet Euch doch mal bei uns. Wir wollen unsere Städtepartnerschaft nicht vergessen und sollten sie dringend einmal durch einen Besuch erneuern und wieder festigen. Ob das bald wieder einmal möglich wird?
All unseren Freunden wünschen wir aus Ratzeburg vor allem Gesundheit in dieser Zeit und natürlich unsere herzlichsten Weihnachtsgrüße, verbunden mit der Hoffnung, Euch alle bald wiederzusehen. Das steht ganz oben auf dem Ratzeburger Wunschzettel. Er soll sich unbedingt erfüllen. In Châtillon-sur-Seine sind wir ja schon verabredet.

Christmas greetings to our twin towns in Europe
Dear Friends in Europe,
this year has caught our breath, especially Corona, which again pushed into our plans and, unfortunately, refused us our mutual visits. But not always and this is preview of hope. Finally, a delegation from Ratzeburg was able to visit our danish partner city Ribe and to enjoy the festivities for the jubilee of „100 years of the danish-german border“, which were initially planned for 2020 but only now was viable.
This was of great joy for all participants: the reunion of loved friends, the hospitality, the outstanding program. Thanks a lot for that!
Also, a big thank you goes to our polish partner city Sopot for the wonderful reception of 15 young people from Ratzeburg, who were really able to visit you in autumn for an extended weekend in the context of a euopean program.
They were totally thrilled from the experiences they made, from the exchange with polish and danish young people concerning the future of Europe, the joint sightseeing and carefree getting to know each other. They told us about a lively bowling night, which made them experience an almost forgotten normality: just being together with people of the same age, having fun and not thinking about Corona. This you have organised so excellent, as you always do and impress our young people in a lasting way.
Especially pleasant are the new contacts which resulted between our schools. It seems as if we can look forward to welcome students from Sopot again soon. This would be a dream come true!
And you friends in France and Belgium, in Châtillon-sur-Seine, Esneux and Walcourt. We miss you very much! So much that our youth council is determined to visit you in context of a round trip next year. In their luggage, they will have the idea of a european camp for youth politics in Ratzeburg and will knock on your door and advertise it. Brace yourselves for the young ambassadors of Ratzeburg. Our german partner city Schönberg already knows them. They are actively involved in setting up a youth council there as well.
From Sweden we haven’t heard nothing for too long. Many greetings to Strängnäs!
Please let us know from you soon. We do not want to forget our partnership and should urgently renew and strengthen it again. Will it be possible some day soon?

Salutations de Noël à nos villes jumelles en Europe
Chers amis européens,
Cette année tenait tous nous en mouvement. Spécialement Corona – encore une fois, qu’intervenait plus et plus dans nos plans communs et qu’empechait des visites mutuelles.
Mais pas toujours et c’est une perspective d’espoir.
Finalement, une délegation de Ratzeburg pouvait rendre visite à notre ville jumelle de Ribe (Danemark) et profiter des festivités du « 100 ans de la frontière danoise-allemande », qu’étaient initialement destinée d’avoir lieu en 2020.
C’était une grand joie pour tous les participants : rencontrer les amis, l’hospitalité, le programme extraordinaire. Merci beaucoup pour ça !
Aussi un grand merci va à notre ville jumelle polonaise, Sopot, pour la réception merveilleuse de 15 jeunes de Ratzeburg, qui vraiment pouvaient aller chez vous dans le cadre d’un programme européen pour une week-end prolongée en automne.
Ils étaient tous vibrants d’émotion pour les expériences, l’échange avec les jeunes danoises et polonaises sur l’avenir d’Europe, les visites communes et du rencontre insouciant – par exemple le soir de bowling : Simplement passer du temps avec des personnes du même age, bien s’amuser et ne pas penser à Corona.
Ce que nous fait beaucoup de plaisir particulièrement sont les nouveau contacts que résultaient entre nos écoles. Il semple que nous pouvons attendre des élèves de Sopot à Ratzeburg de nouveau.
Ça serait formidable !
Et vous, nos amis en France et Belgique – Châtillon-sur-Seine, Esneux et Walcourt. Vous nous manquez tellement. Tellement que notre conseil des jeunes de Ratzeburg est déterminé de rendre visite à vous tous l’année prochaine dans le cadre d’un circuit. Dans ses bagages, ils avons l’idée pour un camp européen sur la politique de la jeunesse; et ils veulent tâter le terrain auprès de vous et faire de la publicité pour cette idée. Avant tout, ils sont pleins de curiosité des rencontres avec vos jeunes. Méfiez-vous des jeunes ambassadeurs de Ratzeburg – notre ville jumelle allemande (Schönberg) déjà les connait. Ils jouent une rôle énergique dans l’établissement d’un conseil des jeunes là-bas.
De la Suède, nous n’avons pas reçu des nouvelles trop longtemps. Bien le bonjour à Strängnäs!
S’il vous plait, manifestez bientôt auprès de nous. Nous ne voulons pas oublier notre jumelage et la devrions renouveler et consolider de toute urgence. Si ça va être possible bientôt?
À tous nos amis, nous souhaitons avant tout une bonne santé dans ces temps et, évidemment, des salutations de Noël, lié avec l’espoir de vous rencontrer tous bientôt. C’est premier sur notre liste de cadeaux et doit s’accomplir absolument ! À Châtillon-sur-Seine, nous avons déjà un rendez-vous.
